My story from the heart
So, let me tell you a bit about how this all started. Happiness Hampers is your full-service gifting solution for when life happens—the good, the bad, and the downright sad. Back in 2009, I wanted to give my wedding guests something special, so I set out to find a business that could create 130 unique Happiness Kits. When I couldn’t find anyone who could do it, I decided to make them myself. My guests were thrilled with how thoughtful and personalised their gifts were, which made my heart warm.
Sadly, in 2014, my world was turned upside down when I lost my husband on Valentine’s Day. I felt the profound pain of grief, and it opened my eyes to how difficult it can be for others to find the right way to offer comfort during such heart-wrenching times. It’s a struggle I know many share. What does one say, what does one gift.. flowers, it's the "go to gift" for when people lose someone..
Then, in 2018, I faced another devastating loss with the sudden passing of my beloved father. I watched my mother navigate her own grief, and it broke my heart to see her receive so many traditional flower arrangements that, instead of bringing comfort, only aggravated her allergies and quickly wilted away like 7 days of death. This experience stirred something deep within me—I knew I had to do something to change this common narrative.
With a burning desire to transform the grieving and gifting process and a way to heal my emotional pain, I launched Happiness Hampers in 2019 as a heartfelt tribute to my late husband and father. My mission became clear: to provide Australians with a genuine alternative to conventional gifts—one that truly honours the emotions we experience during life’s most challenging moments.

And our HH branded calico bag evokes the nostalgia of a Christmas Santa sack, embodying the spirit of togetherness.
